Wuthering Heights
On the windswept stony fields of Yorkshire lies the country estate of Wuthering Heights. The dark-skinned foundling Heathcliff is inextricably - and somewhat inappropriately - attached to his stepsister Catherine. But when his son Hindley takes over as head of the family, Heathcliff is relegated to the bottom rung of the ladder. Humiliated, he travels away and returns a few years later with a hardened and destructive mind. Andrea Arnold (Fish Tank) has directed.
