Communicate with someone from a distance with our walkie talkies!

Find one that suits you in our range. Many of our walkie talkies have a range of several kilometers and different channels that can be used to avoid interference and optimize the area they operate in. They come in different colors and are generally relatively shock and water resistant. In terms of appearance, there is not much difference between the different models as the focus of this type of handheld two-way radio is on function rather than aesthetics.

Do you prefer a Topcom walkie talkie or maybe a walkie talkie from Cobra?

As you can see, we have products from both of these companies, but the list of brands in the range is longer than that. We also have really reliable and good walkie talkies from Motorola, Nedis and as I said Topcom and Cobra. Because we have mainly chosen to buy this type of technical product from more well-known brands, you can be sure that the quality is good and that the technology inside them is top class. Because of this, they are able to communicate over very long distances, we have those that can handle from 3 km all the way up to our best walkie talkies with 10 km in range.

The history of walkie talkies

As with many communication technologies, these devices were originally developed for military use. There has always been a need to communicate over long distances, but it was only during the Second World War that this type of electronic device started to be used and spread.

The first walkie-talkie to be called just that was Motorola's SCR-300. At first, the handheld devices were called Handie-talkies because they had to be carried in a backpack. This was the case with the SCR-300, for example.

PMR-446

Most devices today use the license-free frequency band PMR-446. It is between 446.0 MHz and 446.2 MHz and is harmonized within the EU. This band is only intended for handheld radios such as PMR walkie talkies.
