Super Size Me 1 likely refers to the 2004 documentary Super Size Me, where filmmaker Morgan Spurlock ate only McDonald's food for 30 days, documenting the effects on his body and exploring the American fast-food culture and its impact on public health, which was inspired by a lawsuit against the fast-food giant. The film was a social experiment that highlighted issues with fast food, corporate responsibility, and nutrition in schools, ultimately leading to greater public health awareness and a change in McDonald's menu offerings.
Morgan Spurlock is a very hungry man, and he intends to test this claim. His experiment involves eating only McDonald's food for 30 days. He is to eat 3 meals a day, and all 3 meals MUST be from this restaurant chain. Spurlock is a completely ordinary man, he is in good shape and is generally in good health, but will he still be so after 30 days at McD? To make sure it doesn't go completely wrong, he has teamed up with several doctors and health experts who are carefully monitoring his progress - or rather regression - throughout the entire period.
Spurlock starts the film by laying out all his facts. How many Americans are overweight, how often the average person eats fast food, and all that, and then he starts eating his first McD meal. While we follow his experiment, he also interviews various people in the American health sector and people in the fast food industry in an attempt to uncover why Americans have such a strained relationship with fast food. He also tries to figure out how it is possible - when every other American is overweight - to get your order Super Sized, so that you end up drinking 2 liters of Coke and eating 1 kilo of French fries with your burger.
