The Same Sky is a German television series set in the 1970s in West Germany, depicting the Cold War.
Lars Weber is a young, ambitious East German agent. In the spring of 1974, he is given a task west of the wall. To seduce and spy on Lauren Faber, an analyst for the British intelligence service. At the same time, his niece Klara is on the Olympic team in swimming, but is fighting to win her father Condrad's favor.
The main character is played by Sofia Helin. Helin has her first major role outside Scandinavia. The role of the young agent is played by Tom Schilling, known from the series Generation War.
