When the university downsizes its parapsychology department, scientists Dr. Venkman (Bill Murray), Dr. Stantz (Dan Aykroyd) and Dr. Spengler (Harold Ramis) form the Ghostbusters, a company that specializes in the extermination of supernatural hauntings. Our heroes come face to face with an ancient evil force that will stop at nothing to turn Manhattan into a living hell after the enchanting Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver) discovers that her refrigerator is the gateway to the spirit world.
