Dr. John Dempsey arrives in beautiful Scotland with some not-so-pretty credentials in his luggage. A failed attempt to find Bigfoot came close to ending his career, so now the insecure zoologist has to confirm or deny Nessie's existence. Although he steps on a couple of the locals' toes, he manages to persuade Laura to let him spend the night at her hotel. And with the help of Laura's youngest daughter, John begins to open his eyes and his heart to his surroundings and discovers something more fabulous and powerful than the mystery of the lake!
