Avenir is expanding its range for younger children with Lacing My First Charm, designed for ages 3 and up. The activity has been simplified by removing the needle and replacing it with thicker lace thread and larger holes, making the stitching process easier for small hands. Young children can now develop early sewing and lacing skills while having creative fun.
The series promotes creative sewing and handicrafts, introducing a variety of themed friends for kids to make and take everywhere. The products come in three difficulty levels – Level 1, 2 and 3 – offering different sizes, details and quantities of charms. Each kit includes pre‑cut felt sheets, felt deco stickers, plastic eyes, cotton stuffing and coloured string laces.
Level 1 Four existing kits designed for little hands: Animal Friends, Pet Friends, Dino Friends and Sea Friends. Each kit contains three easy‑to‑make animal characters.
Level 2 Four new kits for intermediate skill levels: Polar Animal Friends, Bird Friends, Unicorn Friends and Monster Friends. Each kit contains two themed animals.
Level 3 Four new themes for children ready for more detail: Mermaid Friend, Elf Friend, Princess Friend and Astronaut Friend. Each kit contains one character with more elements to lace, decorate and create.
