You Were Never Really Here
Joe (Joaquin Phoenix) is a brutal and tortured veteran assassin who only accepts jobs with moral value. His weapon of choice is a hammer. When a senator's teenage daughter is kidnapped, Joe is hired to track her down. The mission takes him deep into a corrupt and ultra-violent underworld that also brings him into contact with his own inner darkness and longing for freedom.
