The story of the man who brought high-ranking German Nazi criminal Adolf Eichmann to justice.
Germany, 1957. Since returning from exile in Denmark, Jewish state prosecutor Fritz Bauer has fought a fierce battle to bring the war criminals of the Third Reich to justice. However, the battle has so far been in vain, as the German state undermines every effort to keep the sins of the past hidden. One day, Bauer receives a bundle of confidential information that pinpoints the hiding place of SS officer Adolf Eichmann in Argentina.
The lieutenant colonel has not yet been prosecuted for his decisive role in the persecution of Jews during World War II, and Bauer now senses an opportunity to achieve justice. But to save his country, he will have to betray the state.
