Jurassic Park

Industrialist John Hammond has created Jurassic Park, a theme park featuring de-extinct dinosaurs, on the tropical island Isla Nublar, off the coast of Costa Rica. After a Velociraptor kills a dinosaur handler, the park's investors, represented by lawyer Donald Gennaro, threaten to pull funding unless experts certify the island's safety. Gennaro invites the chaotician Ian Malcolm, while Hammond invites the paleontologist Alan Grant and the paleobotanist Ellie Sattler. Upon arrival, the group is shocked to see living Brachiosaurus and Parasaurolophus. At the park's visitor center, the group learns that the cloning was accomplished by extracting dinosaur DNA from prehistoric mosquitoes preserved in amber. DNA from frogs and other animals was used to fill in gaps in the dinosaurs' genome. To prevent the dinosaurs from breeding, they are all made female by chromosome manipulation.

The Lost World: Jurassic Park

Four years after the events on Isla Nublar, a British family anchors their yacht off a beach on Isla Sorna and comes ashore, unaware of the genetically engineered dinosaurs on the island. Their daughter, Cathy Bowman, wanders off and is attacked by a group of Compsognathus.

Jurassic Park III

Paleontologist Alan Grant struggles to secure funding for his Velociraptor research, where he attempts to prove his hypothesis that the dinosaurs were intellectually and socially advanced. Instead, he finds himself rebuffing the public's obsession with the events on Isla Nublar[b] and the InGen incident in San Diego. He receives encouragement to continue from his now-married ex-girlfriend Ellie Sattler and his assistant Billy Brennan, who uses 3D printing to replicate a Velociraptor larynx. Wealthy couple Paul and Amanda Kirby offer to fund his research in return for a guided aerial tour of Isla Sorna, claiming they have permission to fly there.

Technology has come a long way since John Hammond first came up with the idea for his Jurassic Park. The technical problems have been solved and over the past ten years Jurassic World on Isla Nublar has become one of the world's most successful theme parks. But like all parks, novelty fades and new attractions are constantly being added. A petting zoo with rides on young Triceratops may be all very well, but the real draw is bigger, wilder and with more teeth. Scientists have run out of dinosaurs to revive with their genetic engineering, so they take the next logical step and invent a whole new species by splicing together some traits that they are sure will give the audience a sweet thrill. And they are right.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

The abandoned theme park on Isla Nublar is under threat. A dormant volcano on the island has awakened, and now it's up to the surviving prehistoric dinosaurs to save them before they are swallowed by the lava. Claire Dearing embarks on a massive rescue mission, recruiting animal trainer Owen Grady, who really just wants to save Blue - the Velociraptor he has cared for since infancy.

Jurassic World: Dominion

Dominion is the third and final chapter in the updated Jurassic Park film series. At the end of the previous film, the genetically engineered dinosaurs escaped into the real world, and now humanity must try to live side by side with the impressive animals.
