Peter Jackson is behind this very special documentary, which gives us a unique insight into the First World War. The film starts by introducing us to the soldiers and their everyday life in the classic, dirty black and white images, but then he shifts to what is his real mission: To show beautifully restored, colored footage. Historical documentaries can be a little dry, but with this modern update we get a vivid and present insight into the lives of soldiers, which you have never seen before.
