The Wishbone family is actually a completely ordinary family, but sometimes - when danger is imminent - they transform into monsters to cope with the situation. The Monster Family consists of Little Brother Max (werewolf), Big Sister Fay (mummy), Mom (vampire) and Dad (Frankenstein), and they are well helped by their three pet bats. When the family's friends are kidnapped by monster hunter Mila Starr, they begin their rescue mission. Along the way, they meet new crazy creatures and understand that no family and mission is perfect, and that everyone deserves to be happy as they are.
