Up in Greenland, 12-year-old Lucia lives with her mother Claudia and her father Julius, better known as Santa Claus. Lucia goes to the international Santa Claus school and wants to be Santa Claus. She just can't, because only boys are allowed to go to the Santa Claus class. Lucia thinks it's unfair, but her father Julius thinks she should follow the traditions and become like her mother. When Lucia continues to protest, the Santa Claus school gives her one chance to prove that she can be just as good a Santa Claus student as the boys. She must fulfill the human boy Albert's biggest Christmas wish that his father, who has been struck by a mysterious illness, get well. When Lucia realizes that Albert's father has been infected by the evil Krampus, she realizes that she has an almost impossible task - she will have to catch Krampus to make Albert's father well again. Lucia travels to Denmark to find Krampus, and now a terrific Christmas adventure begins, which goes over sticks and stones, when it turns out that others are also hunting Krampus.

Lucia lives in Greenland with her parents, and one day King Winter's magical crystal is stolen from her school. Lucia's best friend, Oscar, comes under suspicion for the theft, and Lucia is the only one who believes in his innocence. The two best friends now embark on a mission to find the real thief and prove Oscar's innocence. Their mission takes them both to Viborg and deep into King Winter's magical world, and they must use all their talents in the quest to bring the crystal back before Christmas.

Lucia, her parents Julius and Claudia are all excited when the principal calls an important meeting at Lucia's school. But the excitement is replaced by a shock when the principal cancels Christmas forever. He seems confused, and it quickly becomes clear that something must have happened in his past. Lucia sets out to find out what happened, and with the help of the younger student Elias and a magical time machine, she travels back in time. She lands in Viborg in 1897, and in her attempt to solve the mystery, she ends up in the Raven's Nest - a sanctuary and paradise for children who are tired of their parents. Here, the funny and kind Von Ravn rules, but maybe he is not quite as nice as he pretends to be!
