In Guy Ritchie's latest film, we follow Jake Green (Jason Statham), a gambler who has always hung out with the really bad company. He is rarely allowed to play in real casinos, because he wins for sure – but rarely by playing honestly. Jake has earned so much that he is the only client of his accountant and older brother Billy.
One night, Jake, Billy and their brother Joe are invited to play against the gangster Macha (Ray Liotta), and Jake is supposed to lose, because no one in their right mind dares to beat Macha. But Jake is not afraid of Macha, and not only does he beat him, Jake also takes the opportunity to insult him – big time! Macha orders Jake to be liquidated, but Macha has many enemies, and Jake is given protection by two of Macha's gangster rivals, Zach (Vincent Pastore) and Avi (André Benjamin). Jake has ended up in the middle of a game he does not want to participate in, and dangers lurk everywhere. However, the biggest threat comes from a completely unexpected angle.
