Divergent is the first chapter in a super-intense future action adventure where the population of a destroyed society is divided into five factions based on their human characteristics. When Tris Prior (Shailene Woodley) is asked to choose a faction, she discovers that she is a Divergent, possessing characteristics from all of the factions. When she discovers a conspiracy to wipe out all Divergents and take control of all factions, Tris is forced to trust the mysterious Four (Theo James), and together they must find out why the Divergents are such a threat before it's too late!
