Mason Pettits (John Cena) is a former Special Forces operative now stuck behind a desk in a dead-end job. He reluctantly accepts a job as a security guard for failed journalist Claire Wellington, who is assigned to interview an unscrupulous dictator with whom Mason has crossed paths in her previous job. Just before Claire gets her big scoop, a military coup breaks out and the unlikely trio must stick together to survive the jungle, assassins, and, most importantly, each other.
