Cat6 cable
Cat6 is the successor to Cat5e and has recently become increasingly popular and common. When it comes to shorter cables (under 55m long), they are able to handle really fast speeds - up to as much as 10 Gb/s - which can be compared to the predecessor's significantly lower 100 Mb/s.Usually, Cat6 cables are used when it comes to speeds above 1 Gb/s. If you're installing network cabling throughout your home or office, Cat6 or higher cables should be used to future-proof your home or office. A Cat6 cable is also backward compatible.
A Cat6 cable has a bandwidth of 250MHz while a Cat6a cable has a bandwidth of 500MHz
