What is a conference speaker?

A conference speaker or conference phone is a speaker that can be used when there are several people in a conference room where everyone needs to hear and/or be heard in a conversation. For example, if one person is sitting at a laptop with colleagues around them, only the person sitting closest will probably be heard clearly, while the others will be difficult to hear. A conference speaker is plugged into your computer and can usually pick up sound from 360 degrees around the device (this is made clear in the respective product description). These products are also good at getting sound out so that everyone in the room can hear.
